Climate Change
“We are the first generation to feel the impact of climate change, and the last generation that can do something about it.” -Barack Obama
High and increasing agriculture and transport emissions, driven by population and economic growth, are key climate change challenges in New Zealand. The difficult but necessary conversations are starting, as action is beginning and momentum is strong – but the task at hand cannot be underestimated. The Zero Carbon Bill and a strengthened NZ Emissions Trading Scheme intends to set out the policy architecture needed to mitigate climate change.

Strong leadership demonstrated by the Climate Leaders Coalition has seen close to 100 organisations, representing 34% of GDP, set science-based reduction targets and work collectively to reduce emissions and create ambitious solutions. We encourage more businesses to sign up and take action
