Jo Kelly Appointed as Interim CEO of the Centre for Sustainable Finance

Jo has been working at the forefront of sustainable business since 2008.  In 2011 she helped establish The B Team, a global group of business and political leaders working to redefine the culture of accountability in business.

Head-quartered in New York, The B Team was co-founded by Sir Richard Branson and Jochen Zeitz.  Jo was instrumental in establishing The B Team’s flagship initiatives.  These included advocacy from global leaders for an ambitious Paris agreement, the launch of the global commission on business and sustainable at WEF in Davos, and a programme designed to better support and implement anti-corruption policy and tax practice.

Jo returned to New Zealand in 2015 and joined Deloitte NZ.  In this role she participated in the Technical Working Group of the Sustainable Finance Forum.  She also established the Impact Accelerator programme, which connects impact businesses and investors to Deloitte professional advisors.

Jo is currently a strategic advisor to B Lab, the non-profit that supports the global B Corp community.  She co-founded The Connective, sits on the Investment Committee for Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and the board of impact investment management company, Toru Group.  Jo and her two kids, Sam and Jimmy are of Ngati Tuwharetoa descent.
