Powerful voices

Two of our amazing RAP delivered equally powerful calls to action at our hui. Hinera Parker (Genesis) acknowledged the collective efforts of those present to care for te taiao (the environment) and challenged everyone to not only give young people a seat at the table but to invest in their capacity and upskill them to contribute meaningfully. 

Maggie Powell, (Silver Fern Farms) noted that Gen Z is no longer on the ‘sidelines’ but actively leading, innovating, and making changes to secure a better future. She envisages sustainable infrastructure, food security, access to resources and an economy that prioritizes humanity and the planet. Watch their combined speeches below.
