Future Fit Shipping  

Our Future Fit Shipping workstream is helping progress our trans-Tasman commitments (2+2 Climate and Finance Joint Statement) to reduce shipping emissions and show global leadership on this important issue.  It also supports the ERP2 in its stated need for decarbonising the shipping sector through green shipping corridors, low- and zero-carbon maritime fuels, and emissions reduction initiatives to align with international market expectations and climate targets.

We’ve partnered with Deloitte on this workstream to capture valued input from over 50 stakeholders from shipping lines, logistics companies, fuel suppliers, and others. Deloitte is now assessing potential IMO levies on emissions, funding opportunities and the opportunities available should we act on this market need. To keep up to date email us.
