Energy Sector Climate Change Scenarios

Aotearoa New Zealand is dependent on a thriving and efficient energy sector; climate change will almost certainly influence the way that we both generate and use energy.

This report provides a set of Climate Change Scenarios for New Zealand energy sector. These scenarios explore what the sector could look like under different, hypothetical climate futures. This report is designed to be used by Climate Reporting Entities (those required by law to report on their climate impacts and dependencies) and others who are adhering to XRB standards.  It will also be of use to any person or entity with a stake in the future of our energy sector, as New Zealand considers how to prepare for the impacts of climate change.
